Do you own an Irish Horse, but you don't have their certificate?

If you own an Irish horse that has not been transferred into your name, you can easily complete the Transfer of Ownership process by following the steps below:

If you have purchased a registered Irish horse and the seller has not confirmed whether they have submitted the paperwork or not, please contact the society to verify the status of the transfer.

In case the original paperwork for the horse is lost, a duplicate can be requested for a fee of $30.

To proceed with obtaining duplicate paperwork, you must provide proof of ownership by way of receipt from the seller OR a Statutory Declaration signed by a Justice of the Peace (JP).

The Statutory Declaration should include your details, the details of the horse, a statement affirming that you are the current owner, information about the seller from whom you purchased the horse, and a request for duplicate paperwork.

By completing the Transfer of Ownership and ensuring all necessary paperwork is in order, you will have official documentation reflecting your ownership of the Irish horse.

If you have any further questions or require assistance with the Transfer of Ownership process, please don’t hesitate to contact the society for guidance.
